CALL TO ORDER

Ron Yanko called the meeting to order with 5 of 5 Board members present at 6:35 PM.

PROOF OF NOTICE

Ron Yanko stated that “Proof of Notice” was posted on the property in accordance with the bylaws of the Association.

MINUTES

Rusty Banks made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 7, 2006 Budget meeting.  Terry Mott seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Bill Macheras made a motion to approve the financial report as presented.  Rusty Banks seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS

a.       Board approval of Welcome Package – Cheryl Howard made a motion to approve the package as presented and have it remain a “living document” so changes could be made with ease.  Rusty Banks seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. 

b.       Neighborhood Watch – Rusty Banks made a motion to allocate funds for a Crime Watch meeting.  Cheryl Howard seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.  The meeting date decided on was April 26, 2007, however could be changed if a meeting room is not available on that date. 

c.        Rentals – Terry Mott would like the issue of rentals within the HOA to be put on the next meeting’s agenda.

NEW BUSINESS

a.       Board approval of spring community garage sale – Cheryl Howard made a motion to have a community garage sale in the spring on Saturday, April 28, 2007 and have the HOA pay for the ad.  Rusty Banks seconded the motion and it passed 4-1.  Terry Mott was opposed.

b.       VECA Transition Meeting – Rusty Banks announced that VECA’s Transition Committee is having a meeting that he will be attending on March 20, 2007.

c.        CDD Tree issue – The Board consensus was to leave all CDD matters to the CDD.

d.       Viera middle school – Karen Henderson, an owner in the VEV, stated that Viera will not have a middle school in the near future and McNair Middle School continues to be the middle school for the area residents.  There are no plans to open a middle school until, at the earliest, 2011.

e.       Reclaimed lines – A resident reported that sand has clogged his reclaimed water lines.
