The second Bennington Block party was held from 5:00 till 8:00 pm on September 19. Although early arrivals had to seek shelter from the rain, the party was declared a success by all who attended. Everyone agreed that this will be an annual event!
Information from Viera East Community Association: Hello Residents. I’d like to tell you about the new website for our master HOA, Viera East Community Association (VECA). The website, www.vecainc.com, has lots of news you can use, a photo gallery, interactive map and links to many local government school, and business websites. It even has a free classifieds section where you can post your items fro sale. Take a look at it today and don’t forget to submit your favorite pictures of Villages of Viera East for our section of the photo gallery!
The Viera East CDD assessment will be $562.88 for 2009. This is approximately a $50 increase from 2008. The primary reason for the increase is to pay the Viera East Golf Course bonds. Golf course income is not sufficient to pay both operating expenses and meet required bond payments. The Bennington Block Party held on August 16,2008 was a huge success! Check the September edition of the Viera Voice to read an excellent article describing the event. Several pictures are included in the article. The social committee also sponsored a cookies and cocoa social for the Santa visit on the fire truck in December. Brush fire threatens homes in the Villages on Thursday, May 1. Click here for more info. We have a Neighborhood Watch Program in the Villages! Click HERE for Information. Minutes from the December 2, 2008 Meeting are available. Click here to view. December 2008 Financial report is available. Click here to view. Check our Community Interest page for Alligator safety tips, Viera East CDD information, and right-of-way tree policy. The Board has established a Social Committee and is looking for volunteers to serve on this committee. Check our Board and Committees Page for more info. To reduce mailing expenses, the Board would like to send meeting notices to HOA members via email. If you would prefer to receive email meeting notices please use our feedback page to send us your email address. You may also contact our Association Manager, Tom Dillon, to provide your email address. |
